Kathy Bedard, CHRP
Director of HR Consulting
She is a seasoned, results-oriented human resources professional with 15 years experience with not-for-profit and public sector employers, private sector start-ups and multinational corporations. She works primarily with clients in need of strategic HR guidance and organizational transformation.
Kathy manages large scale Strategic HR and OD projects and works with a team of consultants to deliver on client mandates.
Kathy brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to McConnell HRC; having been the Manager of Human Resources at Protectron Inc. and consulted independently with clients at the Ottawa Hospital, the Department of Justice, the County of Lanark, and the Canadian Corps of Commissionaires.Since joining McConnell HRC, Kathy has led projects such as the Organization Transformation at the National Research Council’s National Science Library (CISTI) and HR Strategy at the Canada Food Inspection Agency, Communications Branch.
She has also worked with many small and medium-sized organizations on building HR frameworks; including the development of HR programs, policies and procedures.Kathy has assisted clients in developing and implementing performance management programs, designing compensation structures, developing competency frameworks, and conducting employee surveys.
Kathy holds an undergraduate degree in Business, is a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP), and is pursuing the Senior Human Resources Professionals Designation (SHRP). She also recently earned the Human Capital Strategist (HCS) designation from the Human Capital Institute (HCI) in Washington, D.C.
She is a Past-President of the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA) – Ottawa Chapter.
